Nel dopoguerra, anche a
causa della chiusura dello stabilimento di Portoferraio, molti Capoliveresi preferirono
emigrare verso l'Australia, come i loro avi mezzo secolo prima, con la stessa speranza di
un lavoro e di una vita migliore. Nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg, auch auf Grund der Schliessung der Hochofenindustrie in Portoferraio, emigrierten viele Bürger Capoliveris nach Australien, so wie ihre Vorfahren ein halbes Jahrhundert vorher, mit der gleichen Hoffnung eine Arbeit und ein besseres Leben zu finden. After the war, partly because of the closing of the siderurgical plant in Portoferraio, many Capoliveri inhabitants preferred to migrate toward Australia, as their grandfathers had done half a century before, with the same hope of getting a job and a better life. |
